Likely Partner Labels

Three vendors dominate the licensed-OST collectibles market and are plausible Rockstar partners:

Lakeshore Records. Already the digital distributor for Red Dead Redemption 2's soundtrack and the publisher of Cyberpunk 2077 radio compilations and the Fallout TV series score, Lakeshore has explicit experience handling sprawling, multi-station radio libraries (Lakeshore Records, 2026). It is the most logical partner for any score-plus-radio release because of its existing Rockstar relationship.
iam8bit. The Los Angeles boutique pioneered video-game vinyl deluxe editions and has produced sets for Persona, Untitled Goose Game, Sea of Thieves, Ultrakill and Scott Pilgrim EX. Its house style — picture discs, splatter and coloured wax at the £35–£70 ($43–$70) tier — would suit per-station picture-disc collectibles (iam8bit, 2026).
Mondo (Austin). Known for screen-printed art editions and Tarantino-affiliated soundtracks, Mondo brings a hand-illustrated, retro-art sensibility that would dovetail neatly with the 1980s Miami Vice aesthetic the GTA VI trailer foregrounds (Wikipedia, 2025b).

Format Speculation and Tiers

Based on the formats these labels currently ship, the credible product matrix is:

Standalone score 2xLP — original instrumental score only, 180g, gatefold. Expected RRP $35–$45, mirroring iam8bit's Wanderstop OST 2xLP at $42.99 and Persona 30th Jazz at $31.99 (iam8bit, 2026).
Picture-disc per station — limited 7" or 10" pressings per Vice City Public Radio station, sold individually or as a subscription drop, echoing the per-station packaging logic Rockstar used for GTA V's three-volume digital release (Wikipedia, 2025a).

Score Versus Licensed Radio

The fundamental release question is whether licensed radio tracks can be pressed at all. GTA V's retail vinyl carried only a sampler of licensed tracks plus the original score; the bulk of the 441-song radio catalogue never appeared on physical media because per-track sync and mechanical clearances are prohibitive (Wikipedia, 2025a). Expect a similar split for VI:

The original score (composer-credited, fully owned) gets a standalone pressing.
Selected radio compilations follow the Alchemist/Oh No Welcome to Los Santos model — curated, artist-produced station LPs cleared as packages.
The full radio library remains streaming-only.

Timing Relative to Launch

Rockstar historically delays physical OST product. GTA V shipped September 2013 but the retail LP arrived December 2014 (Wikipedia, 2025a). For a 2026 GTA VI launch, a realistic vinyl street date sits in late 2027, after the second-wave PC/expansion cycle, allowing remix and licensing windows to mature. A launch-window cassette or limited score 2xLP is possible if production began alongside the gold master.

Scalping and Allocation Risk

Demand will dwarf supply. iam8bit's recent Sea of Thieves and Untitled Goose Game pressings sold out within hours, and the GTA V Tangerine Dream LP — limited to 2,000 — now trades on the secondary market at 5–10x its original price (Wikipedia, 2025a). Mitigations Rockstar's partners can use include queue-based purchasing (Shopify's "hot drop" mode), one-per-household caps, regional storefront mirroring (iam8bit operates separate USA/EU/Japan storefronts; iam8bit, 2026), and repress windows announced at the initial drop to dampen flipping incentives. A multi-tier release — Lakeshore handling the score digitally and on a standard 2xLP, iam8bit producing a deluxe collector's edition with picture discs and cassette, and limited art-edition variants via Mondo — represents the highest-probability configuration. The unknown variables are the depth of licensed-radio clearances Take-Two is willing to fund and whether the publisher front-loads physical product to the launch window or holds it for the typical year-plus delay.
