When Rockstar Games released the inaugural trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on 5 December 2023, the ninety-second sizzle reel offered the gaming public its first authoritative glimpse of the studio's reimagined Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. Although much of the press coverage justifiably foregrounded the protagonists, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, the trailer also functioned as a rolling shop window for the franchise's celebrated vehicle catalogue. From hyper-cars idling outside boardwalk hotels to airboats slicing through the Everglades, the footage telegraphed both nostalgic returns and entirely new machines. Motorcycles occupy less screen time but carry distinct narrative weight. Parked alongside the customised cars in the Wynwood-style street-art district, IGN identifies what appears to be a new variant of the Nagasaki Carbon RS, presented in a striking grey-and-white geometric livery rather than the black-only finish from its GTA 5 collector's-edition debut (Purslow, 2023). This implies that motorcycle paint customisation will be more extensive in the sequel.
The trailer's most charged motorcycle imagery, however, arrives in the form of an apparent biker gang tearing through urban streets, broadcast via an aerial Weazel News bulletin (Purslow, 2023). Taken together, the trailer's vehicular roster signals continuity with the franchise's heritage while previewing the breadth of Leonida's transport ecosystem.
